Spoa.

Taking the asphalt motorway from the capital of Karpathos, Pigadia,
with northern direction from the Eastern part of the island you will find
a magical way that combines laced beaches, mountains and trees.
Reaching roughly the centre of the island you will meet the mountainous village of Spoa, having for view the open sea.

More well, Spoa, can watch the two better moments of the Karpathian
seas: The Sunset and the Sunrise.

A village that keeps alive its customs and traditions, a village that revives and keeps inalterably the meaning of hospitality and friendship.
Marks and titles that distinguish the village of Spoa, up to this day.

Even if you can stop there for only a few minutes, you will be impressed
by the pure character of the local residents that will greet you;
they will offer you generously from their own food and drink and will have
a conversation with you even if to them, you are perfectly unknown.

If you are lucky enough and during the days that you are passing by from Spoa there is a festival there, you will feel as if you are also a member of this society.

This rural village, is one of the most authentically vilagges of Karpathos. Lyra it is heard in the small and narrow streets and traditional ovens using wood smoke in houses in order to cook bread.

The precious treasure of this village however is found more coastally
and is the magical and graphical gulf with the spotless and transparent beaches. The site of Saint Nikolaos (Agios Nikolaos).

Saint Nikolaos (Agios Nikolaos).

Reaching the entry of the village of Spoa and taking the turn downwards
and on the right, you will find the street that leads you to discover a landscape “treasure”. Because the beach of Saint Nikolaos, is an infrequent treasure, that lies (hardly) 4 kilometers away from the village of Spoa.

A landscape that magnetizes the visitor, will be unfolded in front you while you are getting closer. The bright and limpid waters for which it has been rewarded officially will impress you and they will put an exclamation mark
in your impressions.

A landscape that looks like a painting from a fairy tale embraces from the spotless and always calm sea. A sea that waits impatiently to refreshes you in her humid world. The golden beach, clean and hospitable, caresses the water with trees for shades and rocks for plunges at her length, makes the landscape to look like a dream.

A dream that however is touched by only those who visit Saint Nikolaos.

Saint Nikolaos is the favorite spot of most Karpathians, but also many
Italian visitors that come and return back each year. The houses traditionally and harmoniously built; with colorations from the Greek islands, make the landscape more attractive.

The caiques and the fishing boats tied up in the adjacent small port, wait patiently until they will be free in the light blue sea and catch precious fish.

Everything the visitor wishes for unforgettable and uninterrupted holidays is there. A very organized beach. Calm atmosphere and surroundings, freedom for the children. Excellent food, available rooms and boating in isolated beaches for diving and relaxation.

Above all however in Saint Nikolaos you will find daily fresh fish and seafood as they exist in big quantities in the region.
